What does it mean to be a person in a place?
It’s a question that I keep coming back to. I left corporate medicine in 2021 and moved back home to the bayous of southern Louisiana to reconnect with my roots, explore nature, build community, and discover a new way of being a doctor in the world. After working as a neurologist across the country for twenty years, I decided to start a practice of my own, based on the values I wanted to see take root in the world. I wanted to see what would happen when a physician leaves behind the four white walls of an exam room and steps out into the colorful world.
